What We're Working On

This is a list of some of the shows we're working on.

1. Winter Play
We look at some whacky winter sports, like snow kiting; ski jouring; and curling. There's also the Polar Bear Challenge and don't forget the North Idaho Trail Blazers, who pit their skills and machines against the challenges of driving in Idaho's snow-covered back country. To air February 12, 2009.

2. Pathways of Pioneers 
We'll relive that amazing period of America's push westward, as families risked everything on the Oregon Trail to find the new promised land. This hour long special will contrast the landmarks those pioneers viewed with what travelers today see when they retrace the same routes. To air in March of 2009 during our annual pledge drive.

3. Seeking Refuge
We explore some of Idaho's special places, places animals can call home. To air May 14, 2009.

4. Swim Homeward, Sockeye
A town with a colorful history, Stanley, ties its future to a red fish that is itself hanging by a thread. To air June 11, 2009.

5. Special Olympics
We explore the inspirational stories that play out as Idaho hosts the Special Olympics. To air July 9, 2009.

6. Yellowstone's Cascade Corner
A small part of Yellowstone National Park is actually within the Idaho border, but this enchanting landscape faces the same challenges confronting the rest of America's favorite Park: the impact of wolves on elk; the down-listing of grizzlies; the threats to the native cutthroat population; the controversy surrounding the bison. To air in November of 2009.

7. Living with Wolves
The return of the wolf to Idaho and neighboring states has been a bitter pill for some and a source of satisfaction for others. We explore what it means to live with wolves. To air in October of 2009.

8. Kids in the Outdoors
As America's children spend more time in front of TV and computer screens, they seem to be losing that connection with the outdoors. What can we do, to connect kids to the outdoors? To air in 2009 or 2010.
