BUSH ADMINISTRATION CLOSE TO MAKING REGULATORY CHANGE ON SPECIES ACT
An Interior spokesperson said Wednesday that the Office of Management and Budget was reviewing a rule that would allow federal agencies, not the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service or the National Marine Fisheries Service, make the determination as to whether their projects would have an impact on endangered species, and that the rule could be finalized within a matter of weeks.
